8.5-9.0mm Hanadama Akoya Round Pearl Stud Earrings

I purchased two 8.5-9.0 mm Hanadama Akoya pearl earrings as gifts. They arrived promptly are beautifully packaged and came with certificate of authenticity. I also purchased them with 14kt screw-on backs. The pearls are 8.5 and 8.6 in size. (Not 9.0) and very well matched. They are both stunning with high luster mirror-like finish. While I am pleased with them I don’t care for the screw-back on posts. They are long and very thin so it’s difficult to get the threads to align. I wish they were slightly thicker in diameter and shorter so that they would be easier to use. Otherwise, I am pleased with the gorgeous pearl quality. I would definitely purchase again knowing that the quality is superior.

This was my first set of pearl earrings and my first purchase from the Pearl Source. The earrings came very well packaged in a cute box where I plan to store them. I ordered the screw back in white gold. The only thing I didn't like is that it takes a while to screw them on all the way due to the length of the post. I suppose this would make them more secure. When I screw them on, I have to obviously touch the pearl a lot and am afraid I may damage it or loosen it from the post so I am always very careful. I think going with the push back would have probably been less work, and equally secure. Not sure it was worth the extra $50 for the screw back. The pearls were 8.5 mm according to the certificate from PSL and had some weight to them.

These Pearl’s have been ordered for my wife’s Christmas present.
